Slot Enhancements

  • Created slots for encounters booked through the call center where none currently exist

    • We’re working on new reports that will need to rely more on slot data for call center utilization. Therefore, it’s important that we have slot records for non-hold appointments that were booked through the call center.

This isn’t an issue for implementations that have always used the new slot model, but for older implementations, we had appointments booked through the call center with no corresponding slots.

  • Cleaned up erroneous slot status data for booked slots

  • Resolved Issue where slots briefly saved to the database as "unavailable" before being booked

  • We now prevent editing of non-open slots

    • At the model level, a booked slot cannot move to cancelled or unavailable

    • At the model level, an unavailable slot cannot move to booked

    • At the model level, a cancelled slot cannot change status

    • At the model level, properties other than status cannot change on a booked, unavailable, or cancelled slot

    • At the API level (for both the slots API and the legacy availability API), a booked slot’s status cannot change; the only way a booked slots status can change is if it’s moved to open because the associated appointment is cancelled or moved outside of the slot

    • At the API level, an unavailable slot can be cancelled but no other changes should be permitted

    • At the API level, a cancelled slot cannot be edited (this should be enforced by the model validation rules)

    • Any above operation currently permitted by the scheduling UI should display whatever validation message is returned by the API to communicate to the user why their operation wasn’t permitted

User Experience + General Updates

We continue to make updates that improve overall application performance and usability.

General

  • Improved Performance of sharing Google Calendar Preferences

  • Cleaned up instances where both an open and booked slot occupy the same block

  • Added messaging if any of the scheduled surveys sent to the API fail, display a message to the user that says "The at home assessment failed to send to the patient, or the proxy, or both. Please see the Visit tab on the patient profile for more information.”
